In 2009, BloomNet enlisted McNeill Media Group to upgrade an existing newsletter and transform it into a more commercial publication that would compete with other magazines in the floral industry. Through McNeill’s turnkey solution, BloomNet brought to fruition floriology, a monthly magazine that is mailed to BloomNet’s network of retail professional florists. The publication keeps BloomNet florists up-to-date on the latest industry events, explores new trends, shares hot tips and design techniques, and profiles floral shop owners and designers. Other topics that are explored include marketing, technology, social media, operations and sales. With its sleek, oversized format, high-quality photography, clean graphic design, and insightful editorial content, floriology has grown into a successful and well-respected publication that is now in its third year.
